What is Sally King Casting?
We provide adult and child supporting artists for paid, professional work in film, television and commercials.
Upon joining us, your child will be suggested for supporting artist and small featured roles. Those suitable/interested can also be suggested for cast roles (invitation only after workshop/self tape audition).
Some of the projects we have worked on include Barbie, Wonka, Wicked, Matilda, Cruella, Pinocchio, House of the Dragon, Masters of the Air, Blitz, Napoleon, The Witches, Aladdin and Marvel's The Eternals and Black Widow, Fantastic Beasts and many more!
What is a Supporting Artist?
Supporting artists, sometimes called ‘extras’, are a vital part of any production. They can be seen in the background of most big scenes in a film or tv programme. You could be in a playground, medieval village, fantasy town or even part of a battle scene! Sometimes you could be in a scene on your own or sometimes with a larger crowd of children. On occasion there may also be the chance to be ‘featured’ or say a line or two! But most importantly you get the opportunity to go out and have the experience of performing on a tv or film set.
What is the Commitment Involved?
When registered with the agency, we require parents to maintain their child's profile page in order to maximise opportunities for them. Once booked and committed to a job, you will also be required to transport your child to and from the location. The majority of filming takes place in and around London. Parents are not permitted to look after their children on set once they are of compulsory school age and will be cared for by one of our trained, Enhanced DBS checked, experienced, Professional Chaperones.
"My son talked non stop on the way home, about his experiences and the people he had met, raving in particular about the “really, really, really nice” chaperones. He seems taller today with the self confidence yesterday instilled in him, a perfect introduction to the world of filming"
"The whole experience was extremely professional, friendly, fun and interesting. He learnt so much and had an absolute ball with the other boys and chaperones"
"From a parents point I couldn’t have asked for more, the whole process, information, guidance, support and friendliness from start to finish was excellent and I felt totally at ease handing him over to the amazing chaperones each day knowing he was in very safe and experienced hands'
“My children have had wonderful experiences in both TV and film and always come home ‘buzzing’. From costume fittings to the minibus rides with chaperones, to the friends they have made on set, having a tutor to make sure they stay on top of their schoolwork and don’t forget the wonderful food!”
